Welcome to Cove & Co
Make yourself at home
We specialise in paint, wallpaper and decorating sundries and are here to help you find a palette that’s the right fit for you.
Our heritage as a quality Irish paint provider stretches all the way back to the 1950s. You might recognise our sister brand, Colourtrend – one of Ireland’s foremost paint manufacturers and a family-owned company to this day.
As part of the General Paints Group, we have been working with colour for over half a century, and it’s this long history of expertise that motivated us to open our own stores.
“Cove & Co is a wonderful expression of our company; it’s where we get to share everything we’ve learned about paint and colour over the last seventy-five years.”
~ Kevin O'Connor, Founding Family, General Paints Group
Not only do our stores stock the full Colourtrend and Curator ranges in a broad spectrum of finishes, we also work with some of Europe’s highest quality manufacturers to source a collection of paints and wallpapers that we believe are best suited to Irish homes.
Paint isn’t something you buy every day, nor is it something you can get right or wrong; there is only what is right for you. We like to think Cove & Co provides a place to find what you are looking for, with the support of an experienced and knowledgeable team. Our colour specialists know Irish homes, weather and materials like the back of their hands and are always available to offer advice, whether you visit us online or pop into one of our many stores across the country.
Our Stores
Your local paint shop
Serving our community in person is how we started 75 years ago, and those interactions continue to inform everything we do to this day. Our very first store was known locally as ‘the paint factory’ because it was run right out of the Colourtrend factory. Customers placed their orders amongst paint machines that were so noisy they had to be switched off every time someone dropped in.
Since then our collections have grown, our expertise has deepened, and it’s become even more important to us that our stores reflect the communities they serve. We know paint, but we also know people; it’s the people we work with on a daily basis that make us who we are. So, whether you’re a homeowner looking for a refresh, an interior designer with a vision to bring to life, or a decorator looking for the best paint for the job – our store teams are on hand to guide you every step of the way.

Choosing the right palette for your home isn't just about picking a colour; it’s about how the space makes you feel on a rainy day, or the way the light hits a wall as the sun goes down. Irish-made paint since 1953
At General Paints Group, we have been designing and manufacturing paint for over half a century. Our founder, Ronan O'Connor, started Colourtrend in 1953 after returning from the USA with a dream of revolutionising the paint industry in Ireland and the cutting-edge acrylic technology to do so. Over 70 years later, our expertise in paint and colour is what sets us apart.
